The Architectural Committee (AC) is responsible for assuring that all structures that HOA members plan to build comply with the Covenants. The Committee is assigned by the new Board after the General Meeting, and meets on an as-needed basis.
The process and procedures involved in presenting plans to the AC and getting them approved are described in Process and Procedures. This document describes what information the HOA member needs to supply to the AC, the time frame involved, and how plans are approved. Please review this carefully when you are planning to build. Usually the AC can respond in a timely manner, but be aware that even if you have County permits in hand, you need to first have AC approval before beginning the process of building.
What exactly does the AC check for? Here is a checklist, based on the Covenants, that shows exactly what criteria are used in determining compliancy. Please use this checklist to help you understand just what the Covenants specify. Note that you can easily print this list from the .pdf file.
The AC can receive information through the US Mail, and through email. If you have questions, feel free to call or email the AC members, Po Karczewski, Randy Wisner and Jim Sceli. You can email the AC at ac@lakeviewestatesHOA.org
